Berrinba is half industrial estate, half residential, with the Logan Motorway and the Berrinba Wetlands between them. Break-ins at homes and businesses both rose in this police division last year.
Berrinba sits between Marsden, Browns Plains and Logan Central, with the Logan Motorway, Wembley Road and Browns Plains Road around its edges. It covers about 5.9 square kilometres and has 74 named streets.
A large share of the suburb is industrial, with warehouses and distribution sites off streets like Australand Drive and Pagewood Street. The rest is housing, with Berrinba East State School and the Berrinba Wetlands, a large nature refuge, in between.
The industrial side is mostly modern warehouses and units with large roller doors, truck access and fenced yards. Many are empty overnight and at weekends, which is when cameras with alerts earn their keep.
The residential streets are a mix of brick homes, with many backing onto the wetlands or the wildlife corridor. Those back fences face open land with nobody watching.
Berrinba is split between two police divisions: about 58% is in the Crestmead division and 42% in Logan Central. The figures below are for the Crestmead division.
These are the property offences cameras help with most, as reported to Queensland Police over the 12 months to September 2026.
Crime rose across most categories in the Crestmead division in the twelve months to September 2026. Home break-ins were up 24% to 364 and car theft up 24% to 362, about seven of each a week. Theft from cars rose 21% to 611.
Break-ins at shops and other premises, which include warehouses and industrial sites, rose 19% to 223, while statewide they fell 7%. Property damage was the only category to ease, down 4% to 634.

Proper Cat6 terminations • no electrician on the invoice
A network camera runs on Power over Ethernet: around 48 volts, delivered through the same Cat6 cable that brings the video back. Because nothing touches 240 volt wiring, the work falls under data cabling rules, which Richard is registered for. One person handles the cable, the recorder, the router settings and the phone app, and you skip paying electrician rates for low voltage work.
Choose what fits your situation. We plan each system around the building in front of us, so a quote in Berrinba reflects the real cable runs and camera positions.
Driveway, porch, side access, yard, garage and carport. On brick homes the cable goes through the roof and down the cavity; on split levels we plan the route around each level so nothing ends up stuck to the brickwork.
Retail shops, takeaways, medical rooms, warehouses and townhouse complexes. Cameras on the counter, the back door and the car park, with access you can hand to staff or a strata manager.
Dead cameras, a recorder that won't boot, a phone app that stopped working, or an old analogue system that looks like it's filming through fog. We test first, then tell you if a repair or an upgrade is the better spend.
Already bought a Swann, Reolink, Eufy, Lorex or Hikvision kit? We'll put it up with proper cabling and get the app working. Our labour and cabling are covered by our warranty; the hardware stays covered by the brand.
Cameras that flash, sound off and talk when they pick up a person or car in a set zone. The aim is to have someone leave the driveway before they try the door.
Live view and playback from anywhere, on phone, tablet or computer. Passwords are changed from the factory defaults and you're shown how to download a clip before we leave.
Warehouses often have high roofs and long runs from the office to the far corner of the yard. Network cable is reliable for about 100 metres, so larger sites use switches in weatherproof boxes along the way, or fibre between buildings. High mounting points may need an elevated platform.
Homes are cabled through the roof in the usual way, with the recorder inside near the modem.
For warehouses: the gate with a number plate camera, each roller door and loading dock, the yard perimeter and the office entry. Active deterrence cameras in the yard react to anyone inside the fence after hours.
For homes: driveway, front door, side gate and back yard, with a camera on the rear fence for homes facing the wetlands. Car theft and home break-ins both rose by about a quarter in the Crestmead police division last year.
Most camera systems only tell you what happened after the car has been taken or the shed cleaned out. Active deterrence cameras react on the spot. When a person or vehicle crosses a zone you've drawn, the camera fires its strobes, sounds a siren and plays a warning, and your phone gets the alert at the same moment. They work on a fresh install or added to a system you already have.
“You’re Being Recorded and the Owner Has Been Notified”
Every camera live on one screen, alerts the second someone steps onto the property, and recordings you can scroll back through from the couch or from the other side of the country.
Each system we install in Berrinba is handed over with the app running on every phone that needs it. You'll get live view, alerts and playback, and we'll show you how to save footage for police or an insurance claim.
Detection on the camera itself separates people and vehicles from a swaying palm or a passing cat, so your phone stays quiet until it matters.
The drive, the front step, the patio and the side gate on a single screen, live, from work, the footy or a holiday up the coast.
Works on iPhone, Android, tablets and Windows or Mac computers, with access you can limit for each person.
A two camera job on a Woodridge lowset gets the same finish as a ten camera job on a Crestmead warehouse. You end up with a working, tidy system and know how to use it.
No grey conduit running across your walls. Every cable ends neatly in a cupboard, the garage or a small locked rack.
A plain comparison of the main options and the property types each one suits in Berrinba.
One Cat6 cable per camera, running back to the recorder for both power and video. No batteries, no Wi-Fi in the chain.
✓ 24/7 Continuous: Records continuously, so nothing is missed between motion events.
✓ Zero Wi-Fi Jams: Can't be interrupted by a wireless jammer.
✓ $0 Subscriptions: Recordings live on your own drive, with no cloud plan.
A good fit where cabling would cost more than the camera itself, as long as you know about the charging, the signal and any subscription before you buy.
• Rental Friendly: Comes down when the lease ends, nothing left in the walls.
⚠ Battery Charging: Batteries need a ladder and a charger every two or three months.
⚠ Motion Lag: Recording starts a moment after the motion sensor wakes it.
Resolution, field of view, night vision, detection, deterrence and audio are matched to each spot rather than one camera everywhere.
👁️ 4K vs 4MP: 4K holds detail when you zoom in on a face or a plate.
🌈 ColorVu Night: A bright lens shows clothing colours at night with little light.
🧠 AcuSense AI: Tells people and cars apart from trees moving in the wind.

Every year since 2014, Zoo Computer Repairs has received a Word of Mouth service award. They're based on reviews customers posted on an independent Australian review site, and they can't be bought.
Awarded because customers kept saying the same things: on time, neat work, and still answering the phone after the job.
Customers point to fixed quotes that didn't change, cables you can't see and plenty of patience with app lessons.
Word of Mouth (womo.com.au) is an independent Australian site where customers review businesses they've hired. The annual awards recognise businesses whose reviews stay strong year after year.
